To be as carefree as a cat at a time such as this would feel close to eternal bliss. The prominent I-don’t-care-attitude mixed with a bit of sharp intellect would make for the perfect balance to get through this quarantine, sanity intact.
Giving us a glimpse of the same is the short film, They Call Me Kitupa, in which creator Aman Khan portrays the life of pet cats during quarantine. Our protagonist, the mischievous, playful, and coy house cat, Mia Wallace (also called Kitupa), narrates the tale of her days — what she thinks of doing, what she wants to do and what she is made to do.
Accompanied by fellow cats Alabama, Beatrix, and JackieBrown, Kitupa is always finding things to keep herself busy, as she keeps evincing a clear disinterest in her human companions.
A feel-good short film, They Call Me Kitupa is the 5-minute break you need amidst all the madness surrounding you.
