Mumbai, Catch A Horror Movie By The Beach This Weekend

‘Tis the season, but it sure isn’t to be jolly — although there are plenty of treats involved. As Halloween is sneaking up on us, SteppinOut Movie Nights is bringing the celebrations in early with their first ever ‘Horror Edition’. Offering a variety of movies on their poll from ‘The Exorcist’ and ‘The Ring’ to ‘Shutter’ and ‘The Omen (1976)’, they left the choice up to their audience.

Surprisingly, the newest addition on the list, ‘The Conjuring 2’ ended up coming on top. While this may be the first Horror Edition, their ideals remain the same. Beanbags, mattresses, pillows and chairs are yours to choose from, on a first come, first serve basis. Sushen Kakkar, from SteppinOut Movie Nights, was frank about their concept, “We want to create a theatre experience for people, without damaging their wallets. We curate a specific menu for our movie nights, which normally includes your standard movie food – popcorn, nachos, sandwiches and more. Nothing on the menu is priced above INR 250. A full bar is kept stocked too, so you can grab a chilled beer if you’d like too.”

Held at Novotel in Juhu, on Sunday, October 15, their latest edition promises to be as much of a success as their earlier editions. If you’d like to book a ticket for a night under the stars (with a friend who appreciates the horror genre as much as you do, don’t scar the nice ones), click here.
