The Garden Room In Mumbai Brings Nature & Tranquility Close To Home

Meghna Mathew

There is no doubt that our emotions through the day are influenced by what surrounds us –– this includes people, energy, and a couple of rather underrated factors like space and design. Our homes, offices, and any other space we spend time in do much for our day-to-day comfort and morale.

The Garden Room is a remarkably designed space in Mumbai’s Pali Hill by the White Room Studio. It seems to bring about tranquility like no other. This one-bedroom space artfully and thoughtfully combines the serenity of nature while keeping its utility intact.

The fluid feel of the space is not just wondrous to look at, but also seems to bring about a relaxed mood. The addition of various plants and greenery throughout the space is definitely a sight for sore eyes.

Each space leads into the next seamlessly. The melange of white, turquoise, and shades of green create a faultless view. The space is not only justified, but also elevated through various techniques, specifically with the usage of mosaic in the bathroom which shines through.

The White Room Studio’s work for the Garden Room is incredible. It is unlike most spaces in India, and the novel intellect behind the room is impressive. It seems to achieve all that it was meant to do –– pique interest, provide a sense of calm, and also allow itself to be called home.
