As always, our Culture Bulletin is here to bring you a weekly dose of what’s moving through art, music, fashion, film, and everything in between. Think of it as your quick catch-up with the creative community — the new drops, the must-watch films, and the events that deserve a spot on your calendar. With festival season just around the corner, our gifting guide is already in the works (and trust us, you’ll want to keep an eye out for it). But before the lights and festivities fully take over, here’s a roundup of what’s been keeping us inspired this week:
The Divine Hustle By Sonali Rajkumar Devnani
The Divine Hustle captures the communities that thrive in the shadow of sacred sites, where devotion and survival are inseparable. The documentary explores the informal economies that emerge around temples, pilgrimages, and festivals — from performers and guides to artisans and vendors — showing how people navigate faith as both a deeply personal practice and a means of making a living. By following these micro‑worlds, the film examines devotion, social hierarchies, and survival strategies built around the business of religion.

'LOVE' By JQUEEN & Surmeyi
In a campaign video for Surmeyi’s new line ‘LOVE’, Chennai rapper JQUEEN celebrates Tamil heritage with unapologetic pride. Set in Madurai, the video forms a cultural portrait with the elders of the community, traditional instruments like Thavil and Nadaswaram, and street culture to root modern swagger in centuries-old identity. The collaboration reclaims Tamil heritage as lived, embodied, and worn with confidence.

Vani Bhushan’s Image-Making Practice
New Delhi–born photographer Vani Bhushan’s practice dismantles the idea of photography as objective record. Through staged protests, costumed performances, fabricated archives, and images that appear aged or official, reflects on the fragility of historical record itself — who has the authority to document, who gets excluded, and how women in particular navigate the politics of visibility and erasure.

Days For Clothing Based In Dharavi
Born in Dharavi, Days For Clothing is a label that transforms the neighbourhood’s ingenuity into a language of global streetwear. Founded by Rohan and Arjun, the brand sources fabrics from Dharavi’s chindi markets, produces locally, and proudly marks each piece “Made in Dharavi.” By centring its identity on the very place often dismissed as marginal, the label redefines what authenticity looks like in fashion. It challenges assumptions about origin and quality positioning Dharavi as not just a backdrop of struggle but a hub of style, innovation, and self-definition.

Teas Based On Your Personality By S’yuo Cha
Founded in Sikkim by childhood friends Vedant and Shaswat, S’yuo Cha is rethinking how India experiences tea. What began as a café pairing teas with Japanese food has grown into a brand that assigns each blend a personality, crafted to match moods, energies, and wellness needs. Rooted in their culture, the founders aim to process everything in Sikkim to generate local employment while also innovating with ingredients like rhododendron, goji berries, and seabuckthorn. By infusing tea with storytelling and identity, S’yuo Cha transforms a daily ritual into an act of cultural pride and imagination.
