Angry Toast is a new boutique café from the team behind Blabber Hospitality that centres its menu around compact 3-inch sandwiches served in pairs, alongside an in-house micro roastery offering specialty coffee, matcha, and signature drinks. Located on Waterfield Road in Bandra, the café combines a grab-and-go format with freshly roasted coffee and a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian sandwiches designed for easy, on-the-go bites.

If you've spent the past few weeks dodging puddles and getting caught in Mumbai's downpours, you'll know the appeal of a hot sandwich fresh off the grill. Angry Toast, a new boutique café opening on Waterfield Road in Bandra, is hoping to become exactly that kind of stop. Spread across just 450 sq. ft., the café comes from the team behind Blabber Hospitality, known for places like Blabber All Day, Baliboo, Bodega 39 and Bekal House.

The star here is the café's 3-inch sandwich. Every order comes as a pair, making it easy to try different flavours without ending up with an oversized sandwich that's difficult to handle. The menu has plenty to choose from, including Mumbai Toastie, Paneer Tikka, Spinach & Ricotta, Olive & Mushroom Tapenade, Four Cheese & Vindaloo, Basil Pesto Burrata and Avocado Chipotle for vegetarians. If you prefer meat, there are options like Anda Ghotala, Chicken Katsu, Korean Chicken, Angry Toast Spicy Chicken, Jerk Chicken, Smashed Lamb and Avocado & Chicken. There's also a Honey Butter Toast for anyone looking to end on a sweet note. All sandwiches are served on the café's specially developed brioche or artisan sourdough bread.

Coffee is just as important here. Angry Toast houses its own in-house micro roastery, making it one of the few cafés of its size in Mumbai to roast coffee on-site. The coffee programme has been developed with World Barista Championship semi-finalist Suhas Dwarakanath and includes house blends sourced from Belur, Ratnagiri, Odisha and Coorg. Alongside classics like cappuccinos, flat whites and Spanish lattes, the menu features signature drinks including the Taro Latte, Vietnamese Egg Nog Coffee, Mont Blanc, Pandan Coffee and the nostalgic Genius Latte inspired by Parle-G biscuits. Matcha, cold brews and hot chocolate also feature on the menu.

The café's bold red interiors are designed for quick stops, with seating for just a handful of people. Ziko, the brand's playful mascot, appears across the space and on its interactive takeaway cups. Angry Toast opens daily from 9 am to 11 pm at Waterfield Road, Bandra West.
