Calling all art enthusiasts, print lovers, and those seeking a unique and engaging experience! Dirty Hands Co., a vibrant Print Club initiative by Mumbai's Homework Coolkids Studio, is hosting a week-long celebration of the beauty and artistry of screen printing — The Boring Party.
This ironically titled exhibition, running from April 20th to 26th, 2024, at Subko Mary Lodge Bandra, promises to be anything but dull. Here's why you should mark your calendars.
The Boring Party is a curated art exhibit showcasing 16 multidisciplinary artists from across India. Each artist brings their unique vision and style to life through the meticulous process of screen printing. This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to witness the intricate details, vibrant colours, and the undeniable tactile quality that only hand-pulled prints can achieve.
The heart of the exhibition lies in the 16 limited-edition screen-printed artworks. Each piece speaks to the artist's creativity and skill, and with only 15 copies of each artwork available for purchase, ownership becomes a chance to possess a truly one-of-a-kind piece.
Dirty Hands Co. knows very well that art appreciation goes beyond simply viewing. To complement the exhibition, the organizers have curated a lineup of 5 immersive art workshops happening throughout the week. These workshops are designed to be accessible and enjoyable, allowing participants to get their hands dirty (in the best way possible!) while learning the basics of screen printing.
Adding to the relaxed and inviting atmosphere, the exhibition takes place at Subko Mary Lodge Bandra. Feel free to browse the artwork, engage with the artists, and participate in workshops, all while enjoying Subko's speciality brews, delectable bakes, and more. This creates a perfect space to unwind, connect with fellow art enthusiasts, and fully immerse yourself in the creative world of screen printing.
To kick things off in style, Dirty Hands Co. invites you to the Opening Night on April 20th, starting at 6 pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to be among the first to view the artwork, mingle with the artists, and get a taste of the workshops.
The Boring Party promises a week of artistic exploration, discovery, and the opportunity to own a piece of artistic excellence.
