Rohit Bijoy's photographs exude a vivid and intrinsically human warmth that captures an exuberance and childlike wonder that's all too rare across artistic spaces. His photo project for social impact organization, Tiny Miracles, takes his signature aesthetic up several notches and captures a group of women in various states of ecstatic play and joy-filled irreverence.

What's most refreshing about the series is the way it subverts culturally entrenched stereotypes of what women are expected to do in society. We see them kicking back with their friends, relishing an ice cream cone, creating art, and even enjoying a light moment as they flip off the camera.

"From my perspective, I wanted to deliver a sort of over the top style to these photographs; incorporating the idea of showing the women off as being sassy and powerful but also at the same time having fun, being goofy, quirky," says Rohit.

Pictures like these are meant to shake us out of our social conditioning that tells us that only men are allowed to do irreverent and leisurely things. They defy the notion that women are expected to be poised and collected all the time. The women of Tiny Miracles show us that there's a multitude of emotions that all women want to express and live through but find themselves stifling due to society's expectations. The project is an invitation for all women to live authentically, be the truest versions of themselves, and really just let loose when they feel like it.
