DEE EN's Animated Music Video Is A Celestial Journey Of Visual & Sonic Expression

Where genres blur and boundaries dissipate, DEE EN stand out with their sonic innovation. Their latest endeavour, the EP 'Saturn Return', not only marks a comeback but also a celestial journey through soundscapes and storytelling. Paired with an animated film music video, this release invites listeners to traverse the cosmos of emotions, introspection, and self-discovery.

DEE EN, comprising Saurav, Ashrey, and Aditya, has always been synonymous with pushing artistic boundaries. From their inception in 2018 to the present, each release speaks to their evolution as musicians and visual storytellers. 'Whoopsie Daisy' introduced us to their dreamy pop melodies, while 'Poppin' delved into the realms of synth-laden nostalgia. Now, with 'Saturn Return', they begin on a new sonic odyssey, where introspection meets cosmic exploration.

The EP's title itself carries profound significance. 'Saturn Return' refers to the astrological phenomenon where Saturn completes its orbit around the sun, coinciding with significant milestones in one's life. It's a period of reflection, growth, and transformation—a theme intricately woven into the fabric of DEE EN's music.

The six tracks comprising 'Saturn Return' serve as portals to different dimensions of human experience. From the ethereal melodies of 'Darling' to the introspective musings of 'What's the Real Truth?', each song pushes listeners to delve deeper into the recesses of their psyche. Collaborations with artists like Sijya and Arpan add layers of depth and texture, enriching the sonic tapestry woven by DEE EN.

Their new single 'Troglodyte' is a genre-blurring and boundary dissipating song. The lyrics of 'Troglodyte' delve into themes of self-discovery and transformation. Lines like "I must allow myself to peel up layers of illusion without any hesitation" speak to the process of shedding old identities and embracing new ones. The haunting refrain of "I've been going back in time, I've been growing in my mind" echoes the introspective journey undertaken by the protagonist, navigating through the complexities of existence.

With pulsating beats and smooth melodies, 'Troglodyte' is a song to which listeners can lose themselves in its hypnotic rhythms and thought-provoking lyrics.

Accompanying the EP is an animated film music video, a visual counterpart that elevates the listening experience to new heights. Created by multimedia artist Prerit Jain, the video breaks away from traditional storytelling, immersing viewers in a mesmerising journey through space and time. Featuring captivating visuals and surreal imagery, it serves as the perfect visual accompaniment to DEE EN's cosmic soundscapes.

The music video brings to life the ethereal essence of the song. The animated film takes viewers on a visual odyssey through the cosmos, with stunning visuals and captivating storytelling. Watch the animated music video below.
