Delhi, We're Bringing You A-One-Of-A-Kind Japanese Experience For World Record Day

Drishya

After a massively successful campaign in Mumbai, Homegrown and Toki Suntory Whisky is taking 'One Night In Toki-O', the one-of-its-kind celebration of timeless Japanese culture, to New Delhi, the heart of the country. One Night in Toki-O New Delhi by the House of Suntory and Homegrown will take over a 6,000 sq. ft. shed in The Dhan Mill — Delhi’s next-gen culture and retail district. The festival reimagines the timelessness of Japanese culture through a fresh, contemporary, urban Indian lens, on April 12, World Record Store Day, as a nod to India and Japan's shared love for vinyl records.

'One Night In Toki-O' transports you to an exciting new world where the juxtaposition of old and new highlights our creative reinvigoration — a vivid world that is dynamic, playful, and whimsical.

A truly immersive nine-hour day-to-night celebration of Japanese culture — right in the heart of New Delhi — powered by Toki Suntory Whisky and curated by Homegrown, this one-of-a-kind festival blends music, art, design, food, and craftsmanship, offering an unforgettable tribute to the Japanese concept of 'toki', or 'time'.

Celebrating Japan’s iconic kissaten tearoom and vinyl bar culture, the festival features vinyl collective takeovers and hi-fi listening sessions from Genre Journal, Delhi’s first record bar presenting vinyl remixes alongside a curated cocktail menu; Pagal Record, a DIY vinyl store known for its eclectic collection; Digging In India, a nostalgic archive-turned-record store spotlighting rare Indian and South Asian music; Sound Redefined curating an immersive listening experience; and live music performances by Gauri, Sanil (FILM), Pavnii, KSC (Kunal Singh Chhabra), and Greybox, blending sounds from Afro-house and techno to experimental hip-hop influenced by Tokyo’s vibrant underground subcultures.

For the discerning gourmands, One Night in Toki-O offers two exclusive culinary pop-ups by Chef Adwait Anantwar of Inja, serving sandos inspired by his signature blend of Indian and Japanese flavours; and Ramen Donn Kunal Singh Dogra, serving authentic Japanese ramen and desserts with a delightful twist.
