Set in Karu, Ladakh, Ākāśa Gathering is a new three-day festival combining electronic music, wellness, yoga, creativity, and cultural exchange. Taking place from 4 to 6 September 2026, it features artists including Ishome, Fejka, Chloe Lula, Mohd Reza Mortazvi, and more.
Set against the breathtaking landscape of the Himalayas, Ākāśa Gathering is a new annual wellness, music, and culture festival that encourages visitors to reconnect with themselves through mindfulness, music, creativity, and community. Taking place from 4 to 6 September 2026 in Karu, Ladakh, the inaugural edition of the festival is designed around the idea that the final frontier of people’s search for meaning is not outer space, but rather our own inner space. Rooted in the philosophy of balance between the five elements — Fire, Water, Air, Earth, and Sky, or ‘Ākāśa’ — the festival offers visitors a space for reflection, mindful movement, artistic expression and community.
The festival’s music programming brings together folktronica, electronica, and downtempo sounds with immersive wellness experiences, creative workshops, and cultural exchanges, creating a sonic experience that moves beyond the traditional music festival setting. From moments of meditative silence meant for introspection to expressive soundscapes designed for letting go under Ladakh’s vast blue skies, the experience revolves around movement to start the day and music to end the evening.
The inaugural lineup features global and South Asian acts such as Anhad + Tanner, Chloe Lula, Curtain Blue, Ishome, Komorebi, Marius Bo, Mohd Reza Mortazvi, Nida, Raj, Ruhail Qaisar, Fejka and Sheral. The music line-up is complemented by high-altitude wellness and yoga facilitators Lotus Beings and Mihir Jog who will lead visitors in the movement sessions.
Rooted in the high Himalayan landscape of Ladakh, Ākāśa Gathering is committed to responsible engagement with the region’s fragile ecosystem and indigenous communities. The festival will work with regional partners through employment opportunities, production collaborations, and cultural initiatives, while prioritising sustainable waste management and environmentally conscious practices. The festival frames Ladakh as a meeting point between inner space and the outer world — a place to step away from the noise of modern life and return to nature.
